What type of leather cleaner can I use on my Perfect Chair?
Use a high-quality leather cleaner and conditioner specifically designed for genuine furniture leather.
Human Touch® does not recommend a particular third-party brand. Always follow the cleaner manufacturer’s instructions and test the product on a small, inconspicuous area before treating the entire pad set.
Confirm your upholstery material first
Before using a leather-care product, confirm that your Perfect Chair® has genuine leather upholstery.
Some Perfect Chair models and pad sets use SōfHyde®, which is a synthetic, leather-like material. Genuine leather cleaners and conditioners may not be appropriate for SōfHyde.
Review your order information or visit the Human Touch Product Upholstery Options Page to help identify your upholstery material.
Before cleaning your Perfect Chair
- Turn off the chair.
- Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
- Use a dry cloth only on the controller and power switch.
- Never apply cleaner or use a damp cloth on electrical components.
- Test the cleaner on a small, hidden area.
- Confirm that it does not fade, discolor, dry, or otherwise affect the leather.
- Do not use benzene, thinner, or other solvents.
- Do not saturate the leather or allow liquid to enter seams or openings.
- Allow the upholstery to dry completely before reconnecting the chair to power.
Caring for genuine leather
Genuine leather is porous and may absorb:
- Dirt
- Perspiration
- Moisture
- Body oils
- Grease
- Hair products
- Skin lotions and creams
Limit direct contact with these substances to help prevent staining and deterioration.
To help protect the leather from normal drying, cracking, and staining, apply a compatible, high-quality leather cleaner and conditioner at least once every three months.
Follow the leather-care product’s label instructions carefully. Human Touch cannot guarantee the performance or compatibility of third-party cleaning products and is not responsible for damage caused by their use.
