Can I use a surge protector with my Human Touch product?

Yes. Human Touch® massage chairs include built-in surge-protection circuits designed to protect against moderate voltage spikes. You may also use a compatible third-party surge protector between the wall outlet and the chair for additional protection.

If you use a surge protector:

• Choose a properly rated surge protector from a reputable manufacturer.
• Connect it to a properly installed and grounded wall outlet.
• Confirm that it supports the voltage and power requirements listed in your product’s use and care manual.
• Do not overload the surge protector with multiple high-power devices.
• Replace the surge protector according to the manufacturer’s instructions or after a significant surge.

No surge-protection device can provide complete protection from severe power spikes or a direct or nearby lightning strike.

When a lightning storm is approaching, turn off and unplug the Human Touch product from the wall outlet when it is safe to do so. Do not touch the chair, plug, outlet, or surge protector during an active electrical storm.
