To use the Lumbar function on the Gravis:
INFLATE
1. Press the 'Lumbar' button once. The remote control 'Lumbar' button should be lit during inflation.
The lumbar section will begin to inflate. It should take approximately 20 seconds to become fully inflated.
2. During inflation, if the desired lumbar comfort is reached, press the 'Lumbar' button once to stop the inflation process.
NOTE- If the 'Lumbar' button is pressed a second time, the lumbar section will begin to deflate.
3. The lumbar section will remain inflated until:
a. The lumbar section is deflated using the Lumbar button.
b. The chair is powered off.
DEFLATE
1. Press the 'Lumbar' button once. The remote control 'Lumbar' button should flash during deflation.
The inflated lumbar section will begin to deflate. It should take approximately 35 seconds to become fully deflated.
NOTE- If the 'Lumbar' button is pressed a second time, it will begin to re-inflate.
2. Power off the chair.
The inflated lumbar section will begin to deflate. It should take approximately 35 seconds to become fully deflated.
The deflation times above are typical of an unoccupied chair. These times may increase if a person is sitting in the chair. Additionally, the person's weight may affect the deflation rate.
IMPORTANT - Unplugging the chair WILL NOT deflate the lumbar section
Unplugging the chair does not open the air valves solenoid to release the air. The air will remain in the lumbar section and release very slowly from minute seal cracks.
Excessive repetition of this process can result in damaging the air valve solenoids or Pad set.
